I do not have too much RAM – just 32GB – so I need to keep it as free as possible. When apps or other system procedures are using it, I see the teltel signal: slower than normal frame rates, long -term load time, and in the worst cases – stuttering. But here is told how I free my RAM for my game and keep running them smoothly.
Clean the browser cache and closed tab
As I have browsed the web will store images, fonts, CSS, HTML and JavaScript code to save my browser bandwidth. This is usually a good thing, as the pages will load rapidly. But its negative side is that it can also use RAM. To retaliate, I clean my browser cash before playing.
Additionally, I will usually play with the open browser tab in Windows. Why? Because tests suggest that only 20 Google Chrome browser tabs open may have to chew more in the form of 1.8GB RAM.
End Program in Affairs Manager
Windows task manager is an excellent tool for placing a tab on your RAM use. I always wonder how many programs are going on in Windows that I have to go without me.
In my case they are usually apps for my gaming peripheral and communication programs, all of which default in Windows form whether I need them or not. So now I stop or disable those people I do not need.
To close them, you just click Ctrl + Shift + ESC To bring Windows Task Manager, then right-click and choose end Task On the programs or apps you want to close. To incompear to load them in Windows on Startup, select Startup apps From the left menu, then right-click on the app and choose Disabled In the task manager.
Use a adaptation tool
There are lots of apps that will act as a RAM cleaner to free memory, but individually I prefer to use those specially made for gamers because they offer more gamer-specific adaptations.
The Razor Cortex app is one. The game booster of the app kicks to prevent unnecessary apps and processes and free the RAM as I launch a game. It also optimizes the CPU, so I get a good boost to my FPS. The razor cortex allows me to monitor my performance manually and make twitks beyond the automatic adaptation of the app, so I control the settings when I want.
Update the driver and BIOS firmware
When your PC device driver and your PC’s BIOS firmware become old, this can result in more use of your RAM. As a result, your PC may perform dullly or may be prone to accidents in instability issues or accidents.
Regular updates of these important things will help avoid these issues. It takes a few minutes, but you will be rewarded with high FPS and low headache, trying to find out what is wrong when the game stutter or crash.
Use gaming browser
I use tip #1 when I am playing lightweight indie game on my laptop, but for my desktop gaming PC where I do most of my high-end gaming, I use dedicated gaming browser.
Browsers such as Opera GX and Vyldi run very lightly on OS and use much less RAM than Google Chrome, so you can expect better performance in your game as a result. They also come with additional features especially for gamers, which you can read more here.
