According to FBI’s Seattle Division, the federal officer is looking for a masked person suspected of setting fire to the Tesla Supercharger hub in the state of Washington. The monitoring footage, which has recently been made public, shows the man at the scene during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
At around 1:30 am at Lasi’s South Sound Center, a retail area exploded several major stores including target and Kohl. Police said they received several 911 calls from nearby residents, who made a loud noise through the area.
In a statement released later that day, the Lacey police confirmed that the fire “caused adequate damage to the station and the surrounding area.”
The FBI suspects that the person involved may face injuries due to his proximity to refer to as “an explosion or acute heat”, taking into account the possible signs of “a consent, burn, or pellet injuries”. Officials certainly did not connect the fire to an explosion, but highlighted the possibility, given the view of the visual situation.
Authorities described the suspect as a white man, which is estimated to be between 5’10 “and 6’2”. He was seen covering a hooded dark jacket, gray pants and a face. The surveillance video also captured him with a white bag – possibly plastic – and investigators referred to as “unique tricks”. He appears to be a lame in his right leg, which kicks outwards, and sometimes, he holds his right hand behind his back.
In an attempt to track its movements, the FBI is asking the public – especially in the vicinity of Chehalis Western and Woodland Creek Trails – to check any door or security footage from Monday night from Monday night to Tuesday night. Officers are particularly interested in footage that may reveal the suspect to enter a vehicle after the incident.
The event is part of a broad pattern. Since January, Tesla Properties – including dealerships and charging stations – have allegedly targeted in at least nine US states. According to a federal warning released earlier this month, these range from barbarity and shelling to suspect arson.
The inspiration behind the recent Tej in the attacks seems politically accused. President Donald Trump intensified public backlash after nominating Tesla CEO Elone Musk as a policy advisor of his newly made Government Efficiency Department (DOGE), an appointment that shook the nationwide dispute.
While Tesla and Target have not yet issued official statements on the Lacey incident, federal investigators have quickly shaped to become a coordinated campaign of anti-tesla activity.
