Multinational logistics company DHL Express said it would suspend global shipments of more than $ 800 to American consumers including Hong Kong due to US customs regulatory changes.
DHL, headquartered in Germany, said that the suspension of shipment would begin on Monday. The company said that this step is a temporary solution.
The company stated that the decision was made in response to the new US customs regulations, requiring formal admission processing on all shipments of more than $ 800. The minimum was $ 2,500 before announcing a change on 5 April.
DHL said that trade-by-business shipment will continue but can face delay. Either businesses or consumers were not affected by a change in shipment of less than $ 800.
