Vikas Khanna defends Gauri Khan amid controversy
Celebrity chef recently took a statement on his social media to make a statement about the matter. He shared a story, where the chef defended Gauri’s restaurant and said that “I have been cooking and working with food science for the last several decades. I have never seen such terrible misinformation, such as a Youtuber that claims to be a food scientist.”
He also stated that “the color changes with a response under the presence of iodine ingredients: potatoes, rice, bread, cornflour, flour, and bananas. These ingredients can also be used (and such reaction) in cross-installation. It is scary that unqualified people are taken seriously.”
Dispute around fake cheese

The statement of the restaurant increases as a dispute
Gauri Khan’s restaurant issued an official statement on the matter. In a comment in response to the original video, ‘Tori’s official account’ states that “the iodine test reflects the presence of starch, not the authenticity of the cheese. As the dish includes soy-based materials, this response is expected. We are standing with the purity of our cheese and the integrity of our ingredients in the tori.”
