In the wake of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor, renowned Indian playback singer Arijit Singh has postponed his much-anticipated concert in Abu Dhabi. Originally scheduled for May 9, 2025, at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island.On May 8, 2025, Arijit posted a message on his official Instagram account to inform his fans about the change.He said, “Dear fans, due to recent events, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Arijit Singh live concert in Abu Dhabi, originally scheduled for 9 May 2025, at Etihad Arena, Yas Island. We deeply appreciate your patience, support, and understanding during this time.”His team also gave details about the tickets. They said all tickets will still be valid for the new date. But if anyone does not want to attend the rescheduled concert, they can get a full refund within seven days starting from May 12, 2025. He further added, “We are working closely with the venue and the new date will be announced soon. All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date, or you may opt for a full refund within 7 days, starting 12 May 2025 (Monday). Thank you for your continued love and support, we look forward to creating unforgettable memories with you soon.”This is not the first time Arijit has postponed a show because of serious events. Last month, he cancelled his concert in Chennai, which was planned for April 27, 2025. This was after a tragic terror attack in Pahalgam that took innocent lives. Arijit chose to cancel the show as a mark of respect and sympathy for those affected. While a new date for the Abu Dhabi concert is yet to be announced, fans remain hopeful.
