BYD India has announced the launch of the 2025 Model Year (MY) BYD Seal electric sedan, with prices starting at ₹41 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated range includes the BYD Seal Dynamic (RWD) priced at ₹41 lakh, the Premium (RWD) at ₹45.7 lakh, and the Performance (AWD) at ₹53.15 lakh.
The 2025 BYD Seal introduces several upgrades aimed at improving driving dynamics, cabin features, and connectivity. It continues to use a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) low-voltage battery (LVB), offering reduced weight, improved self-discharge performance, and an extended lifespan of up to 15 years, the company said in a media release.
Performance and technology
The Performance variant debuts BYD’s new Disus-C intelligent damping system, which adjusts suspension settings in real time based on driving conditions. The Premium variant is now equipped with Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD), technology previously available only in the top-spec model.
The BYD SEAL retains the Cell-to-Body (CTB) and Intelligent Torque Adaptation Control (iTAC) technologies. The all-wheel-drive Performance version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
All variants of the 2025 BYD SEAL now come standard with a power sunshade and a silver-plated dimming canopy to improve in-cabin comfort. The air-conditioning system has been upgraded with a larger compressor and an air purification module. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard across the range.
