Sunrisers Hyderabad Opener Travis Head became the second fastest player to reach 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) during the match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhed Stadium on Thursday.
Head achieved this feat in just 575 balls. The fastest Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL history is all-rounder Andre Russell, who crossed the 1000-run mark in 545 balls.
Interestingly, it was one of the slowest IPL innings of Travis Head in its 31 performances. Head scored 28 runs off 29 balls, with three limits. The head was rejected by Will Jack caught by Mitchell Santner.
Earlier, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl against Sunrisers Hyderabad in his IPL match on Thursday. MI is unchanged and senior batsman Rohit Sharma is in the influence. SRH has also done the same game XI.
