Tata Motors has launched the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift at an introductory price of ₹6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed Altroz offers a new design, advanced technology, and enhanced safety features to compete with rival models like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20. The updated model includes a redesigned exterior with a distinctive 8-lamp LED setup, a premium interior with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and a range of powertrain options, including petrol, turbo-petrol, diesel, and CNG, paired with manual, AMT, and DCA transmissions.
The company announced that bookings for Altroz will commence from June 2, 2025.
Design Focus
-This design is inspired by the 2018 45X concept. It is complemented by an exquisitely designed 3D front grille. The redesigned split LED headlamps are integrated with sleek DRLs.
-A notable addition is the segment-first flush door handles on the front doors.
-A new set of alloy wheels, inspired by EV aesthetics, further modernise the car’s profile.
-It is available in five colour options–dune glow, ember glow, pure grey, royal blue, and pristine white.
Features
-The flush door handles enhance the car’s premium appeal. They also contribute to its aerodynamic profile. The doors now open a full 90 degrees, which allows for improved ease of entry and exit.-At the rear, the Altroz features Infinity-connected LED tail lamps. A reworked bumper gives the hatchback a sharper and more upscale appearance.
-Inside, the refreshed Altroz offers a more premium cabin experience. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display is a central feature.
-The car also includes a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. An updated climate control interface is also present.
-Additional interior features include ventilated front seats. A 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster is also included.
-The Altroz is available in five trims. These are Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S.
-The Altroz’s diesel and petrol variant provide 345 litres of boot space while the CNG variant offers 210 litres of boot space.
-It offers 65W fast charging ports at both the front and rear. These ports ensure quick device charging for all passengers. A blind view monitor and a 360-degree camera system enhance safety and visibility.
-Safety features includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and ISOFIX mounts for child seats. The higher-end trims further enhance safety.
-They offer a 360-degree HD surround view camera system. Blind spot detection and an emergency SOS calling feature are also included.
Engine options
Engine options include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 88bhp and 115Nm of peak torque. A 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine is also available, which generates 118bhp and 170Nm of peak torque and comes in the Racer edition.
A 1.5-litre diesel engine is offered. It produces 89bhp and 200Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 12.8 seconds. A 1.2-litre CNG option with twin-cylinder technology is also available. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a new 5-speed AMT, and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCA).
These options provide flexibility for varied driving preferences. As per Tata, the Altroz is the only vehicle in the segment to be available across manual, AMT and dual-clutch transmission.
