The new offering HSBC’s three premium credit cards – HSBC Prevision, HSBC Premier and HSBC Travelone are available at three.
This increase provides access to more than 20 international airlines and hotel loyal programs to users.
What’s new?
Under this program, HSBC card holders can transfer the reward points accumulated in the airline Frequent Flair and Hotel Outteri Program through the HSBC India Mobile Banking App.
For most partners, the 1 reward point is equal to 1 air mile or hotel point.
However, the transfer ratios vary to some partners:
- AirAsia: 1 reward point = 3 miles
- Turkish Airlines and United Airlines: 2 reward points = 1 mile
- Shangri-La Hotel: 5 Reward points = 1 loyalty point
Popular airline partners include Singapore Airlines Crispleir, British Airways Executive Club, Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Air India Flying Return.
On the hotel, HSBC tied with Marriott Bonwoy, IHG One Rewards, Accor Live Live Lime, Shangri-La Circle and Wyndham Rewards.
Redemption time period
Most reisitions are immediate or processed within a working day. Some exceptions exist:
- Air India and Hainan Airlines: till 5 working day
- Japan Airlines: till 10 working day
How to cash in reward points
Cardholders can redeem their digits directly through HSBC India Mobile App:
- Log in and select your eligible credit card
- Go to ‘See more’ and ‘Redeem Points’
- Choose the desired category (air mile, hotel, apple products, etc.)
- Enter the number of points and confirm the transfer
Other redemption options
In addition to travel, users can redeem their prize points:
- Apple product () 1 = 1 reward point)
- Gift card for shopping, food and entertainment
- Bill payment and transfer through app
All redemption should be done through HSBC India Mobile Banking App.
