The production of Mercedes-Benz India has increased significantly. The company produced 50,000 cars in its first 19 years (1995–2014). This was followed by another 150,000 units in just a decade (2015-2025). Notable, 50,000 cars were manufactured in the last two years. The company’s Chakan facility has achieved many earlier. This was the first place outside Germany producing the Mercedes-Meback S500 in 2015. The plant also changed the local production of EQS 580 sedan in 2022, making an important step in electric vehicle manufacturing.
