Nawgati, a homegrown fuel-tech platform, has secured $2.5 million in a pre-series A funding round led by Ajay Upadhyaya, a stock market investor, with participation from various entities, including Deepak Bhagnani Family Office and MeitY Startup Hub. The funding, announced recently, will support Nawgati’s global expansion plans and strengthen its presence in India by scaling its fleet offerings to major fuel companies, aiming to provide smarter solutions for fleet operators and fuel stations.The funding round also saw participation from Aamara Capital, and angel investors such as Sanjay Sharma, Ashish Sharma, Prithvijit Roy, and Vivek Mathur.
Expansion plans
Nawgati plans to use the newly acquired funds to expand its reach beyond India and establish a stronger foothold in the global market. The company is also focused on enhancing its fleet management solutions, which are currently being utilised by Mahanagar Gas.

Nawgati’s core offering is the Aaveg platform, designed to connect fuel stations, fleet operators, and consumers. The platform aims to improve fuel network utilisation, streamline refueling processes, reduce waiting times, and provide real-time visibility into fuel availability and fleet movement.
Previous fundraising
Prior to this pre-series A round, Nawgati had received backing from several notable investors. These include Maharatna PSU GAIL, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), MeitY Startup Hub, Sharks on Shark Tank India, BITS Spark, BITS Pilani’s angel network, and Girnar Growth Ventures.
