Scene “Didi” Comombs has filed a proposal to exclude explosive video, showing him his ex -girlfriend, how Ventura violently attacking his upcoming federal trial.
Comombs lawyers entered the resolution on Thursday, asked the court to exclude the video or, “In the option, to allow Mr. Combes to present evidence in an pre-testing hearing about the incredibility of the current and available video evidence.”
CNN, released in May 2024, has been a major piece of evidence for prosecutors. Last month, the lawyers of the combs claimed that the video was edited and the original footage was destroyed, which made it infallible in his smuggling and racketering case.
In last month’s filing, the Comombs counsel alleged that CNN bought the only known copy of the surveillance footage, uploaded it on free editing software and replaced the video. He argued that CNN destroyed the footage “even though it knew and the federal investigation was repeatedly reported.”
CNN denied the suggestion that they had changed the footage and destroyed the source material. “CNN never changed the video and destroyed the original copy of the footage, which was maintained by the source,” read the statement. “CNN broadcast the story about the video several months before the arrest of Combes.”
After the video was made public last year, Comombs released an apology video about the incident. “I was a mess. I mean, I hit the rock bottom. But I don’t make any excuse,” he said. “My behavior on that video is unforgivable. I take full responsibility for my actions in this video. They are disgusting. I was hate when I did so, I am hating now. I have gone now and I have asked for professional help. I have to ask for his mercy and grace.
Ventura is expected to testify under its name in Comombs Trial, which is currently starting from May 5. Comombs, who is disorganized on federal allegations of racketering and sex trafficking in Brooklyn, was recently killed with an updated supersing prosecution, adding two allegations in the case.
