Škoda Auto India has launched the second generation Kodiak SUV in India. Prices for the sportsline version starts at 46.89 lakhs (ex-showrooms), with the price of selection L&T ₹ 48.69 lakh. Online bookings are now open, and delivery will begin on 2 May.

The second generation Kodiak is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine, producing 150kw (201hp) power and 320nm torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission and delivers all four wheels power. The vehicle is based on the MQB37 platform and claims fuel efficiency of 14.86 km/l certified by ARAI.
Dimensions and luggage capacity
Update Kodiaq is 59 mm longer than its predecessor, 4,758 mm in length, 1,864 mm in width and 1,679 mm height, with wheelbase of 2,791 mm. The ground clearance has been rated at 155 mm when perfectly loaded.
The SUV offers seven seats and has a capacity of 281 liters with all the rows, 786 liters with the third row, and the second and third rows are twisted below 1,976 liters with both rows.

32.77 cm touchscreen infotainment system is offered with multi-function dials for HVAC, audio and drive mode. The SUV also has a transferred gear selector behind the steering wheel, a tablet holder for rear travelers, and ergo front seats with a pneumatic massage function.
The acoustic package includes front-side acoustic windows. Security features include nine airbags, a sliding sunroof and 725W audio systems with 13 speakers and a subwofer. Rear window sunblinds are also provided.
External and design
Kodiaq receives LED beam crystalline headlamps with a welcome lighting effect. The selection L&K variant comes with dark chrome elements, while the sportline contains shiny black trim. The front grille integrates a horizontal light strip, and a red bandage connects the tail lamp.
Kodiyak is available in six color options: Moon White, Magic Black, Graphite Gray, Velvet Red and Race Blue. The selection L&K variants receive a special bronze gold shade, while the steel is reserved for gray sportsline variants.
Škoda Auto India is offering 5 years/125,000 km warranty with a 10 -year -old roadside support program. The company is also offering a standard maintenance package of one year without any additional cost under its supercare program.
Kodiyak was first introduced as a seven -seat SUV in India in 2017. The second generation model continues this format and has been collected in the facility of škoda in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in India. Kodiyak is named after the Kodiak Islands and is a bear in Alaska, USA.
