Hyundai Motor India said on Monday that the SUV took 68.5 percent of its overall sales in the last financial year, registering an increase of 8 percent compared to the financial year of 2023-24. The company hopes that the SUV contribution will cross 70 percent in a year.
For FY25, the automaker reported selling 7,62,052 units in FY24 compared to 7,77,876 units.
Its domestic sales were at 5,98,666 units, while the export shipment was in 1,63,386 units in the last financial year.
Hyundai said that this significant change in customer preference was seen, in which the penetration of sunroof-equipped vehicles is growing up to 53 percent, outlining the increasing preference for premium features.

He said that the Adas variant contributes and the increasing popularity of the sunroof-equipped models reflects our customers’ growing aspirations and their readiness to embrace global technologies.
Currently, sunroof is introduced in Hyundai Portfolio as an alternative feature in 12 out of 14 models.
In addition, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) variant contributed to 6.7 percent to FY24, to 14.3 percent in FY 25, said the automaker.
The company said that it is offering Adas as an alternative in its nine models.
The Creta emerged as the largest selling model in the domestic passenger vehicle segment in March with the sale of 18,059 units.
The company sells various SUVs such as Venue, Creta, Alakzar and Tuxon in the domestic market.
