New Delhi: Delhi capitals Defeated Rajasthan Royals at a dramatic super over finish – first of the Indian Premier League 2025 – Both teams tied 188 at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday.
Pace Ace Mitchell Starc starred with the ball, defended nine runs in the finals to force the tie and then won just 11 in the super over, where two important run-outs of Shimron Hetmyer and Ryan Parag bowed the balance.

Chasing 12 in the super over, KL Rahul hit a double and a border before Triston Stabs and launched Sandeep Sharma from six to seal the victory in four balls. Delhi, led by Exer Patel, climbed the top of the table with five wins in six matches.

Earlier, Abhishek Poral scored the top with 49, while Exer and Stabs rapidly added 34S, picked up Delhi in a competitive 188/5, including 77 runs in the last five overs.
