The accused hailing from Bihar has been identified as Abhishek, the ex-boyfriend of the victim’s PG roommate.
Days after a 24-year-old woman from Bihar was stabbed to death at a paying guest accommodation in Bengaluru, the police have arrested the accused from Madhya Pradesh.
The accused Abhishek, who has been identified as the ex-boyfriend of the victim’s PG roommate, hails from Bihar. He is being brought to Bengaluru for further investigation, a senior police official said.
He was earlier zeroed-in on by the police through the CCTV footage at the PG in Koramangala.
Victim intervened in fights between her roommate and the accused, say police
The victim, Kriti Kumari, was also from Bihar and had been staying at the PG since March. According to the police, she worked as a business development associate at a project-based learning platform.
She was stabbed to death a little after 11 pm on Tuesday night.Top of Form

During the investigation, the police found that Abhishek would visit the PG and argue with his girlfriend, and Kumari would often intervene. Police also said Kumari had urged her roommate to stop living with the accused and move with her.
