During the recent four -day meeting in Zimbabwe, the Chief Executive Committee of the Global Cricket Body (CEC) discussed the report, and made it clear that the players could choose to play the side with either the Indian Premier League (IPL) or WCA.
The WCA is believed to have argued that they represent players, but the ICC said that they represent the cricket boards of their respective countries.
“The BCCI took a strong stand in the CEC meat and was unanimously supported by other members of the CEC. The message is clear – the players can choose to play IPL or side with the WCA.
